On March 15, 1981, at 2:45 a.m., in one of the apartments of the Training Center for Leaders (CTL), Radio Educadora Santana de Caetité was on the air for the first time, which, on the initiative of Dom Eliseu Maria Gomes de Oliveira, then bishop of Caetité, who together with professor Francisco Hélio Negreiros, businessman Manoel Cardoso Neves and Monsignor Adhemar Cardoso Neves founded the aforementioned station whose mission was to evangelize and contribute to the formation of citizenship.In 1984, the studios became operational on the second floor of the Cine Teatro Pax building and in 1987 the bishop of Caetité Dom Antonio Alberto Guimarães Resende created the Cultural and Educational Foundation Santana de Caetité - a repository of Radio Educadora.
Shortly after a year, the same bishop made a daring project to modernize the studios and increase the power from 1 KW to 10 KW.
Approved the project, a new transmitter of 10,000 watts was acquired, but this only came to operate with 5,000 watts, since the granting of operation gave permission only for that power.In 1994 the studios began to operate on the first floor of the same building, all modernized with first-line equipment, being a programming studio and a recording studio.
Radio has gained a new face, with diverse programming of journalistic, religious, musical and entertainment.
In the same period, the Club of Members was created, which has contributed to the Foundation and, in turn, plays a social role to date, helping members with medical care, discounts on ads, notes and honors on the anniversary day.In 2004 Radio Educadora changed the administrative direction and Father Alex Adriano Rocha Barbosa assumed the works of the transmitter with determination and transparency.
Once again, thinking of those people who live in the most remote parts of the Diocese, and of the region of Caetité, then bishop Dom Ricardo Brusati and the Foundation decided to purchase a 6,000 Watt transistorized high-tech transmitter with a good quality and with low power consumption.Again the studios were equipped with modern high-tech computers and information processing speed, the journalism department also received new machines enabling the improvement in the edition of the information.
It created a proper administrative management room with management, public relations accounting centralized in one place.
The radio reception was also moved to a larger room, where the public is served, notes of notices, notes and announcements.Rádio Educadora has joined the Brazilian Radio and Television Association (ABERT), further strengthening its partnership with the Catholic Radio Network (RCR) and being part of UNDA / BRASIL, bringing quality and professionalism to its programming and increasingly if shown different through innovation, honesty, responsibility, ethics, morality, example, clarity, social commitment, proclamation of the gospel, impartiality.In 2007, Father Osvaldino Alves Barbosa assumed the direction of the station, which once again undergoes modifications in search of improvements.
The radio has acquired a mobile external reporting unit, created a website with interactivity and modernity, and people can listen to it live anywhere in the world at any time, new equipment has become a reality improving on the quality and professionalism of the radio.In the year 2010, the oldest employee of the Radio, Marivaldo Junqueira assumed the administrative management of the Issuer and together with Father Osvaldino Barbosa gave a new visibility to the company.
New partnerships were established and others consolidated with the main goal of enhancing the Educator.In 2011 inauguration of modern studios with most of the equipment in a separate space called Educating Engineering.
